"It's great to see a tiny restaurant stand its ground for 30 or so restaurant. With a dining area not much larger than an average living room, pictures of Italian acresses and actors on the wall and of course Donna Maria herself in the kitchen, this feels like the heart of Italy beats next to the Münchner Freiheit. We had a great evening and will surely be back."

"Charming Authentic Italian Restaurant. The owner chef emanates from the Napoli region. Every meal is prepared with love and cooked to order. The meals are served piping hot. Everyone in our party was pleased beyond delight. You are presented with the dining option verbally and it is beautifully simple but varied menu.we enjoyed an appetizer and entree. The pasta dishes are suitable for a main entree, dessert and bottle of wine. I am Italian and it is like eating in my Nonna’s kitchen. Grazie Maria! Philip. Boston MA USA"

"I dined at Donna Maria’s for the second time so I had to provide my feedback. As you enter, you feel the warmth and coziness of the restaurant right away. The service is great, I had the pleasure of having Marlena as my server for both of my visits. The food is not only authentic but it’s delicious. The combination of the ingredients of Maria’s recipes is wonderful. Note that there are no printed menus because the servers will recite what is available on that day. It is also cash only. The entire experience of dining here is incredible."

"Hidden gem at Münchner Freiheit. Outstanding food and service. Very small place with a unique charm. Maria is a fantastic host and her food is always fresh and "home cooked". Not a typical Italian place but a unique experience. Looking forward to next time."

"Stumbled upon this restaurant yesterday with a few colleagues. The waitress was very welcoming, and extremely helpful with choosing the food and the wine. Then the food arrived. It took a long time, but it was well worth it. The food was so delicious we could have eaten it forever without stopping. The prices were incredibly fair for such a quality: We each paid around 20€, tip included, for a main course, a glass of wine, and water."
